Programme Overview

Summer Language School





Our smart summer language school provides an intense language experience that combines English tuition with creative and outdoor activities to improve English and Communication skills with joy and confidence!



YoungPeople

(16 – 19)

Students in this course will be engaged in communication projects that they will explore working in team to discuss and present to their course-mates.

The active English lessons will help them improve all their language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) and strengthen their grammar focus.

The creative and sport activities will enhance the language experience and enjoyment of our students!

Cultural and social events may complete the programme to allow our students feel the ethos of the local community.

Friendly host-families will welcome our students and provide a warm, inclusive care.

Teenagers


(13 – 15)

Teenagers will enjoy learning English in our active creative programme!

English and Communication lessons will help them improve their understanding and practice of spoken and written English and strengthen fluency and correctness.

The creative and sport menu comprises water-sports, visual arts, photography, film-making, dancing, drama, cookery: it will enhance our students’ language experience, also encouraging them to team building and mutual support.

Cultural and social events may facilitate understanding and inclusion within the local community.

Friendly host-families will welcome our students and provide a warm, inclusive care

Learn&Play

(7 – 12)

This course is designed for children (7 to 12) and aims to provide an introductory language experience to gain confidence with the English language, to improve vocabulary and learn some communication routines.

Children will be engaged in role-plays, movements with songs and rhymes, games, art and craft activities.

Parents may take part to the lessons if their presence helps a child to settle in.

Lessons are only in the morning from 9:30 to 1pm.

Visits to local leisure parks may be offered as optional in the afternoons.

Children must be accompanied by and live with their parents (or a family friend).

Englishclasses

This is a 4-week programme that offers the unique opportunity to attend English classes at Exeter College to learn English while studying three of the student’s favourite subjects.


4-week programme

 

Exeter College offers the unique opportunity to attend English classes for a minimum duration of 4 weeks between September and Easter of each academic year.

When you join this programme, you can select three of your favourite subjects amid the wide range of A-Level courses offered by Exeter College and deepen your knowledge of selected contents while significantly improving your understanding and confidence in spoken and written English.

The social relations with English students will enhance your language experience in Exeter.

You will also enjoy free access to a set of enriching activities as you like it (music, drama, gym and many others: to read more click here).

Studyingin the UK

Exeter College is an ideal institution for International students who are considering to complete their post-16 studies in England. They can choose International Baccalaureate, A-level or B-Tech courses (2 years) or other courses in a wide range of options available at the college, all of which enable Leavers to either continue their studies at university or apply for a qualified job position.
